| It's Warren, nuff said
Recorded pre Gov't Mule, it's Warren. Great; Awesome; Warren Haynes.

| Warren is Great!
There is one thing about Warren Haynes that really amazes me and that is that he is a really great guitar-player and at the same time he is a good songwriter! It is like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix were the same person!

| How does an album like this not sell billions?
Southern rockers and guitar buffs alike, meet former Allman Brothers guitar whiz Warren Haynes. Fire In The Kitchen, Blue Radio, Power And The Glory, and Tattoos and Cigarettes are the key tracks that make this CD indispensable. Mr. Haynes is now the driving force behind Gov't Mule, a band also worth checking out.

| OUTSTANDING TALENT
PERHAPS ONE OF THE MOST OVERLOOKED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED CD'S OF THE LAST 15 YEARS. CRISP, ARTICULATE GUITAR WORK AND ONE OF THE MOST DISTINCTIVE VOICES IN MUSIC TODAY. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING PIECE OF WORK BY AN EXCEPTIONAL TALENT. NO THROWAWAY CUTS, AND AN EXCELLENT SUPPORTING CAST OF PLAYERS.

| Poignant lyrics, masterful songwriting skills
This is a great album. I purchased it in the early 1990s when it first came out ofter hearing a few cuts while driving in New Jersey (one of the New York radio stations was actually conducting an interview with Warren Haynes and playing a few of the songs if I remember correctly). The amazing thing about this album is that it offers up appealing material for those hwo enjoy concise, tight songs as well as those more oreineted to the Allman Brothers/Govt Mule Jam material. The lyrics are masterfully written without exception, Its as though Haynes had something important he wanted to say and did so in ablum form as opposed to a speech. Instrumentally, this album is inspiring with tight guitar solos and masterfull work by the surrounding cast. Yet the solos never get in the way of the songs and the songs are not excuses for some long drawn out solo. In essence, the album offers up radio cuts for the connoisseur. Highly recommended.
