Some of her best early work
This album is among those during the time in Bonnie Raitt's career when she produced some of her best work. Ironically, it was among her least commercially successful (and thankfully, her least pop-sounding). While a bit uneven, there are many gems on this album, including: You've Been In Love Too Long, Let Me In, Write Me A Few Of Your Lines/Kokomo Blues, and Guilty. My personal favorite is Everybody's Cryin' Mercy, which is actually the first song I heard from BR and what got me interested in her music. It is definitely worth a listen, and if you are a BR fan, it should be among your collection.

time enduring
when i first heard this album, 30 years ago, i was rocked and moved and hooked on Bonnie forever, there are no gaps in her catalog and Cry Like A Rainstorm, is simply one of the best songs she has ever done! If you are a newcomer to Bonnie you need to go back in time see where she really comes from, psst it is the heart!
