| Art Rock Lives!!
Simply unbelievable. As an avid fan of Genesis, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, etc. I was stunned when I recently discovered Elbow. Exceptionally crafted music written by someone who obviously functions on multiple levels when approaching his art. The compositions are carefully considered with intertwined themes and recurring motifs. Always nice to hear something new yet familiar. I believe this album (as in collection of thematic material for you "boppers") to be the most accessible with melodic elements that stay with you throughout the day. Easily accessible to King Crimson fans as well. Highly recommend!

they tried to duplicate Radioheads Kid A sound but not as good. All it does is put me to sleep because of its drawn out melancholy intermissions. Wish I would have paid the price I did.

| Diverse
An interesting mix of haunting, introspective and creatively diverse music, very much in the vein of Radiohead and Coldplay, yet distinctly different. 'Forgotten Motel' will linger in your mind well after you've heard it.

| best album in years...
this is quite simple the best album of not only this year but the last few years too. the lyrics are so poetic, the tunes are all fantastic and there is a nice variation of styles, the vocals are superb, the overral talent of this band is clear to see (or to hear). from "ribcage" to "flying dream" this album has song after song of pure quality. magnificent album very very underrated. my favourite tracks are "buttons and zips" "fugitive motel" "snooks (progress report)" and "fallen angel" mind you every song is amazing. I URGE YOU TO BUY THIS ALBUM!!! *****.

This CD is better than i expected from reviews i've read. I put it in the same class with Coldplay. It hasn't come out of my player since i bought it. Brilliantly eloquent music.
