Andes - Floating In Titicaca DVD Features
Andes : Floating on Titicaca brings the viewer on the blue waters of Lake Titicaca, the highest elevated navigable lake in the world. After a short stop to Puno, the major city on the lake's shore we visit Uros Islands, home of the oldest civilization of the region. These islands, made out of totora, a combination of reed and mud, float on the lake. We continue to Taquile Island that preserves remarkable customs, in dress and traditions. From there we go to visit the pre-Inca ruins of Silustani, the old necropolis of Tiahuanaco, that has unique cylindrical funerary tombs.
