| A classic tale of our history of expansion How the West Was Won movie This movie protrays the American pioneer spirit at it's best. A tale of one family who starts out in the early 1800's moving west, and their individual experiences and life path as time moves forward toward the late 1800's. | A wonderful epic, now or in the original Cinerama How the West Was Won video I have seen the entire film more than 20 times, including 4 in the original Cinerama presentation. The small screen hardly does the film justice, but if you remember that you are seeing 3 of the greatest directors' work, plus a great score, and some of the top early-1960 talent, your appreciation increases.
