A lightly swinging mix of traditional jazz standards, with a few original compositions thrown in.The genius of Bill Evans supported by bassist Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian on drums. Very easy listening.

His natural ability for improvising on the piano, and accompanying bass and drum artists give a tight, flowing, melodic, and sublime musical experience. Whether you have the original or a re-master, it's in 2-channel Stereo (except a bonus, studio cut in mono), you will, on this album alone, see his virtuosity, as well as his subtle feel for Standards arranged for small-combo Jazz groups. An album for the Jazz neophyte seeking great examples of the Art, or the Jazz aficionado wanting to complete their collection, this CD is a must have. JAF
