 Stand by Me review Product Description
STAND BY ME, set in Oregon in 1959, portrays the friendship of four boys who go on an overnight camping trip to find a missing teenager's body. Along the way they encounter a number of obstacles, including a gang of older teens and their own inner problems, ultimately finding out more about themselves along the way.
Based on Stephen King's novella THE BODY, director Rob Reiner's STAND BY ME is the disarmingly tender and subtly sublime story of four kids on the precipice of early adulthood who embark upon a quest. | A reminder of better days.
This is a great movie,cast,and story. It reminds a lot of us of our own childhoods and of friends we all left behind. When I saw it, it was a reminder of an adventure with a 2day camp out on a mountain with a unexpected storm. The four of us survived but like the movie we drifted apart over time. And just like the movie I never had friends like those again. My own kids watched it numerous times and loved it.

| Beautiful Story...
The story written by Mr. Stephen King made into this beautiful movie directed by Mr. Rob Reiner was awesome. A real coming of age movie if you will... River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, and Wil Wheaton were superb.

| A very good movie one of the best movies from 1986!
I thought that Stand By Me was an excellent movie which I own this special edition DVD release which I have in my movie collection for sure. I thought the story was not scary or did not included any extreme bloody gore violence in it for sure. Because it's not a horror slasher kind of a flick. It is a coming of age drama with lots of comedy and sense of humor included in this movie. So forget other Stephen King movies that are for sure considered to be horror flicks like Pet Semetary, Sleepwalkers or Cujo this is the DVD to get for sure.
