Oliver Twist movie was released Jan 25, 2011 by the As Is studio. Region A.2005 adaptation of the Dicken's classic tale, directed by Roman Polanski and stars Barney Clark & Ben Kingsley. Subtitles available in English & Chinese.
Acclaimed director Roman Polanski turns a dark eye toward the classic Charles Dickens novel OLIVER TWIST, about a charming orphan boy (Barney Clark) whose life seems to depend solely on the whims of fate. Abandoned early in life, Oliver first seems doomed to life in a workhouse, where he is farmed out to a local undertaker where he regularly is underfed and mistreated. Hoping to improve his lot in life, Oliver runs away to London, where he falls in with a gang of petty criminals led by the fence Fagin (Ben Kingsley) and the young pickpocket the Artful Dodger (Harry Eden). His new situation seems like relief, until he meets Mr. Brownlow (Edward Hardwicke), who sees Oliver's true character and potential and seems determined to sway destiny.
Despite his innocent performance, eleven-year old Barney Clark was already a seasoned professional when Polanski recruited him to play Oliver, including studies at the Anna Scher Theatre and performances in the film THE LAWLESS HEART and British television dramas FOYLE'S WAR and THE BRIEF. ...See Full Description

Oliver Twist review This Sexploitation flick from the swinging London era is just the sort of sexy kitsch that AUSTIN POWERS so accurately spoofed. Directed by the cult filmmaker Michael Cort, ZETA ONE is based on a story from a magazine of the era called ZETA. Special Agent James Word is embroiled in an investigation of a race of voluptuous super-bombshells led by a zaftig sexpot called Zeta. The beauty abducts pretty young women from Earth and brainwashes them into wearing next to nothing and aiding her in her desire to take over the world.
In the tradition of "Barbarella," comes this sexy sci-fi cult classic from the late 60's! Following a game of strip poker, blonde bombshell Ann Olsen (Yutte Stensgaard) learns that Special Agent James Word (Robin Horden) is investigating Public Enemy No.1, Major Borden (James Robertson Justice). With the assistance of the nerdy Swyne (Charles Hawtrey), Borden is investigating a race of sexy, scantily clad super women, led by the shapely Zeta (Dawn Addams). It seems that attractive young women are being abducted from Earth and then brainwashed into serving Zeta, all wearing kinky, fetishistic outfits. Borden's plan is to track down Zeta and her seductive sirens and become their new ruler.
