Deep Purple songs Product Information
Deep Purple album for sale by Deep Purple Rock was released Apr 19, 2011 on the Hi Horse label. ||One of their best ever|
This, which I believe was their 3rd release, is in my opinion one of their best ever recordings on par with Machine Head and In Rock, although commercially this has not been as successful. This album reflects the transition of the band from their semi-classical / rock sound of their earlier albums to the future more heavy rock of In Rock and Machine Head. My favorite track is "April", which switches from a pure classical orchestral sound to a rock sound back and forth effortlessly. Very few bands have been able to mix two different genres of music in the same song, and this effort clearly shows the immense talent of this band. The CD also has 5 bonus tracks which were not on the LP. Highly recommended for all true fans of this multi-talented band.
