| stylish slasher flick at its best. brutal, intense and gore. Deep Red: The Hatchet Murders movie Horrifying. Deep Red: The Hatchet Murders video his best i have watched is Suspiria. Deep Red: The Hatchet Murders film i know critics may say the story is nothing. nothing shocking or relevating. there is less buildup for the puzzle and little revealing to a "whodunit" story. his story is simple. However, he knows what's horror journal is about. he knows how to scares you, make your hair stand. Most of his scenes are intense, psychological, suspenseful and a bit of thrilling. he likes to protray Evil in his picture. things, words, actions makes you uneasy, makes you not at ease. His stories normally protrays curious protagonist with interest to find out mysterious happening and bizarre killings. and it normally, ends up with chilling warnings that creeps you. most of his tales are quite alike. childish nursery rhymes but irony matches with the killing-triggering theme and always suspects ppl ard you might be the killer. and at the first few minutes, there is normally a gruesome murder that satisfied the fans. his films can give nightmares as his victims are normally dies painfully, "creativity" and slowly. there are agony cries and screams makes audience to feel or "recognise" the pain and the bloody mess. glass shattering scenes are common. however, his stories are plain but small details through the witty dialogue that makes you remember. He knows how to look in a different angle from the eyes of the psycho. and always there is to tense up before the killings and lightings are at the best in Suspiria. the music by Goblin makes you uncomfortable. Beside that, he knows how to show the beauty of the city. i think Dario spawns other directors to follow him like the lightings (RED), the electronic keyboard rather than classic piano music as the horror background music, the teasing of audience by showing bits and bits of the slasher. Horror Classic in the 1960s are Psycho (1960) Suspense-thriller (alfred Hitchcock). the revealing at the end is horrifying. Vertigo (1968) for its Intensity and psychological. the twist is there too. you can also see Roman Polanski 1965 (repulsion) and (Rosemay's Baby) 1968. Before 1975, hit slasher films was Bob Clark's Black Christmas. By liberal66 (Singapore) This review is for a different format. |

| Buy this version!! Deep Red: The Hatchet Murders review The only way to experience any Dario Argento, is to watch the unedited versions, and this is no exception. This is one of my favorites by the Italian master of horror. The theme of adolescence brings out the thoroughly haunting and surreal nature of this film... Just watch out for hurling dummies!
