Johnny Winter begins Raisin' Cain, his ninth studio album since signing to CBS Records in 1969 (his records are now issued on the Blue Sky subsidiary), with "The Crawl," a rock & roll dance tune, and he ends it with "Walkin' Slowly," which employs a Fats Domino-style New Orleans rhythm and the saxophone work of Tom Strohman. It's Johnny - So You Gotta Have It
Not regarded as one of his best albums - and his final album on Blue Sky Records - Rasin' Cain is still a must have for any Johnny fan. The availability of this album on cd has been nearly non-existent - so it's a pleasure to be able to hear Rasin' Cain again since my vinyl has been resting in the my garage.
