| Original I loved it. The cool but creepy killer, smart and ruthless. A must see for serial killer movie fans out there. By Slayer (San Diego) This review is for a different format. |
| THE BEST MOVIE OF 2007 No Country for Old Men video When I heard of this movie and then I heard that there was a book too... I was like I need to get both. and did. Those who aren't sure if they want to see the movie read the book first. It fills in the blanks that are not in the book. Hey grab both. | Not the Coen Brothers' best but still good No Country for Old Men film This film has the Coen brothers' creepy look from start to finish. It's more of a suspense than the usual dark comedy that is the Coen brothers' style. Javier Bardem is outstanding as the psycho-killer. The only problem I had with this movie is the ending which is very unsettling. Bottom Line:a treat for any Coen brothers fan. By Blake (Brandon,MS) This review is for a different format. |
| Is that a light in the passage...? No Country for Old Men review Damn near a perfect movie- excels at the lost cinematic art of conjuring a sense of dread. Most of the violence is out of frame, and even more is in the mind of the viewer. Refuses to cop out with an easy 'tie-up' ending, and leaves ample scope for the viewer to let their minds run free. Oops, I guess that wipes out the mid-west as a viewing audience. Thinking persons cinema. By David Martin (Mt. Martha, Australia) This review is for a different format. |
| edge of your seat.... to put you to sleep! No Country for Old Men BRAY for sale Wow! I don't think I can explain this movie the way I want to. I was sucked in to it from the very beginning, Bardem was perfect for this part!! His whole persona was scary, but fresh! I loved the suspence & the whole cat & mouse game, but I hated the ending. I felt like the whole movie showed all the killings that weren't important & when it came down to the important characters, you really questioned if they were really dead & how he did it. I also questioned who ended up with the money? I think some loose ends needed to be tied up. It was good, Kept me entertained, but wouldn't be one I would watch again.
