Product Description
It's here! The much anticipated video release of Heavy Metal--now with a spectacular 3-minute segment never seen before and not available anywhere else! Heavy Metal features an amazing soundtrack with some of the hottest rock bands ever including Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Don Felder, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Nazareth, and many more.
This unique collection of six animated stories combines science fiction with fantasy, horror, comedy, sex and rock music. The segments include "Harry Canyon" and "Den." In the first, a New York City cab driver gets mixed up with a beautiful femme fatale. Although he's become so hardened that he keeps a death ray in his car to kill troublesome riders, he lets his guard down long enough to fall for his latest passenger... and it could cost him his life. In "Den," a nerdy student travels to another planet and transforms into a macho stud with incredible strength. While fighting villains, beautiful women throw themselves at him. ...See Full Description

| Still alot of fun Heavy Metal is still a fun movie and even watching it on the PSP is a lot of fun. The main reason I had to order it is that I could not find this anywhere north of the border. No complaints at all. By greggkoval (Windsor Ontario) This review is for a different format. |
| Way Before it's Time! A Classic! A Must have in your Animation Collection! It is Way Before it's Time! A True Adult Type Animated Movie. Great! By garyduenas (Corona, CA, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Excellent picture & sound, at the expense of 'extras' Hands down this is the best quality presentation of Heavy Metal I've yet seen, much better than the theatrical presentations I've attended in theaters-- the sound is clean and dynamic in range, and will give your subwoofer a good workout if you let it. Visually this disc is a treat, presenting a picture resolution that demands the occasional pause-and-zoom to take in the detailed cel animation. One word of warning-- don't buy this disc expecting any extras. No storyboards, commentary tracks, or making-of documentaries here; just a good movie presented in the best way the DVD format allows. | THIS IS THE SH**T!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE ITS A CLASSIC. LOVE THE ANIMATION. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!!! By G-MAN (Wallingford, CT, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Heavy Metal Rocks Overall, the animation isn't the greatest. It's very basic and simplistic. But phenomenal writing and music more than make up for the simple animation. The humor is sarcastic and biting at times, and at others just plain silly. Best song "Veteran of a Thousand Psychic Wars" Best segment "Hanover Fist"
