| A Great DVD
The filming is very well done, and the music is outstanding! The contents gives you a great historical look at the development of Bob Dylan.

| It sounds great - didn't know it could
Bob Dylan - The Other Side of the Mirror film I am just amazed at the clarity of the sound - I'm sure they weren't trying for 5.1 mix surround sound back in 1964. All of the performances are recorded outside, and you can see the breeze "blowin in the wind" behind Bob -- leaves of tres are fluttering and Bob's jacket sleeves are rippling. I don't know how, but those few little boom mikes hanging in the air caught the sound, and it is wonderful. A fresh and eager Dylan in 1963 grows up before our eyes into the swaggering king of everything in just two years. Highlights include Only a Pawn in Their Game sung with Joan Baez, Mr. Tambourine Man, and Don't Think Twice It's All Right. Then there are the two electric performances that changed everything and blew the doors off the folk and rock and roll world - a sneering Maggie's Farm and a tight and exciting version of Like a Rolling Stone, in its first public performance ever. It is quite amazing to have full footage and clean sound of that legendary performance, once and for all. I have read about it from dozens of writers in a multitude of styles - but their words do not convey the power and the majesty of that performance. I have watched it five times already - I just hit previous and back it up and play Rolling Stone again. Dylan forever.
