| Classic death/thrash metal
If you like the 80's death and thrash scene then buy this cd. These songs are real fast the riffs just keep getting better and better and the solos just kick ass. You will have these songs in your head for the rest of your life.

| Classic death metal album
Good album, but not the best one produced by Morbid Angel. This album was a breakthrough at the time it was released. There many fans of this album in particular but not all of them are fans of the band in general, which amazes me. Trey and Pete are arguably the best guitarist and drummer respectively in death metal for the past 15 years. I give it only 4 stars primarily because it is not their best album, but it is a sign of things to come. Check out Covenant or Formulas Fatal to the Flesh as well.

Great debate, Morbid Angel certainly impress me, killer vocals, and riffs are awesome!, and Pete on drums just slams, alot of tempo changes, also check out Blessed Are The Sick, and Covenant, all MA is great.

the opening to immortal rites is killer. i always thought that dave and trey were great collaborators. and this albums shows it. also note that they are more technically sound than any death metal band out there.
