||Flanagan Leads 'Trane, Burrell and Brownie Sound-Alike Suliemann|
Cats album for sale Coltrane is in his typical 1957 form which preceded his rejoining the Miles Davis Sextet ("middle-period" Coltrane, liner note writer Ira Gitler calls it). Sulieman displays the fat tone and melodic improvisation of Brownie, although
he does not extend his lines to the degree that Clifford did. Burrell does his usual fine work throughout. But the date belongs to Flanagan.
