Meddle album for sale Product Description
Meddle album for sale by Pink Floyd was released Oct 06, 2011 on the EMI Japan label. MEDDLE was the first album to hint at the musical identity that would define Pink Floyd in the mid- to late-'70s. Whereas prior releases like UMMAGUMMA and ATOM HEART MOTHER announced the presence of new singer/guitarist/songwriter David Gilmour, MEDDLE represents the band's Gilmour-influenced evolution toward a sleek, epic, spacey sound. In "Echoes," an ambitious 23-minute soundscape, the pinging of a synthesizer greets the listener before Gilmour's warm, open guitar and gentle crooning gives way to a repetitious, workmanlike rhythm. Meddle CD music contains a single disc. ...See Full Description

| Great Album! it's so long! but it is worth the whole time! even though echoes is so long it is so beautiful, great song! it's worth the money you spend on the album! not a good album for starters though... too instrumental. By jlwhitedove (Iowa,USA) This review is for a different format. |
| let's fly away perfect music for stoners. the entire thing is a masterpiece, but the 2 best : One Of These Days and Echoes!! those 2 will definitely take you on a little trip :-). By stoner (florida) This review is for a different format. |
| Best "early" Mr Floyd Barrett's gone and we haven't gotten into Waters' Cynicism yet. So we get to hear an extended David Gilmour. Gilmour's guitar work is just a precursor of things to come. I could listen to Gilmour and Mr. Floyd all day. By a reviewer (Waterloo, Iowa) This review is for a different format. |
| It's an Ear full. Yes the cover picture is an ear for those who thought it was a nose you don't smell music you listen to it. This album is fantastic. Pink Floyd is original they do their music like no other's, they don't bite. I have heard many newer bands like Audioslave of which stick to a very noticable and simple formula for all their songs. Even Pearl Jam did this on their latest album. Basically these really great bands use the same formula and layout for an entire album. This is so gey'. Right when they start jamming and it get's good then they stop and sing another verse, our the outro to a song is just to short. Why are these bands so systematic? That's what seperates Pink Floyd. They do what they feel. They will jam out for a few minutes then start singing, or visa versa, they will jam after they sing some verses. Just an observation about today's music and yesterday's. | meddle with a weird twist of songs i like different sounds in my music. this one is chilling to the bone. especially echoes. it gives a haunting performance that will leave you breathless. with other songs on this cd like fearless and one of these days. if you haven't heard this cd yet you might like it. this cd contains an album cover sleeve and other surprises inside. great sound quality. than in usa. like you have the original master recording in your hand. without the gold.
