This album is basically Hex Omega for 60 minutes. As a folk/jazz album it's pretty good, but as a metal album it's terrible.

||The Evolution of Opeth|
Heritage album for sale I've been a fan of Opeth for a long time. I've listened to everything from Orchid onward to Heritage. I'm a fan of Opeth's death/doom metal early work but I'm not terribly disappointed to see it go by the wayside for this release.

Heritage CD music definitely not as heavy as previous work, but that's precisely what i like about it. gone is the cookie monster growling and shouting, but still present is the wonderful creativity and musicianship. outstanding release.

||Lame & boring|
Heritage buy CD music Im the biggest fan of European metal, especially stuff coming out of Scandanavia, but this is just lame. I never understood the hype about this band; I saw them with DT and I couldn't stop yawning... This is not prog metal or MDM; I don't even know what catagory this mess would fall into... Now they are back on tour, opening for a great band Katatonia; what a bummer.
