| 2011 40 th Anniversary 2 CD Reissue does it justice
I waited with much anticipation for the 40 th Anniversary Aqualung reissue. I could not believe how much better this album sounds! I have the gold CD version and a Japanese reissue.

| What a Jip and a Waste of Plastic!
What a tremendous waste! There is no disputing that as a classic rock masterpiece, this, Jethro Tull's best known album is a force to be reckoned with.

| Great album...
Although some of the songs aren't in my taste, this is a truly great album. The highlights for me are: "Aqualung," "Cross-Eyed Mary," "Cheap Day Return," "Hymn 43," and my favorite, "Locomotive Breath".

| Good, but not Tull's crowning achievement
As Ian pointnd out in the interview on this disc, AQUALUNG is not Jethro Tull's crowning achievement. If you listen to later albums like THICK AS A BRICK, A PASSION PLAY, MINSTREL IN THE GALLERY, SONGS FROM THE WOOD and HEAVY HORSES, you'll realize that AQUALUNG, like all the other Tull albums, was just a step in the band's musical development.
