| Gabriel, Don't Blow Your Horn
Peter Gabriel: New Blood - Live in London video The sound quality on this blu-ray is exceptional, some of the best I've ever experienced in DTS-HD. The orchestrations of the songs are also interesting, with a strong classical bent to many of them. The camera work and direction is serviceable, and mostly good -- it's in focus and in the right place at the right time. However this music is generally not at all to my taste. Mr Gabriel seems to have a voice which is almost completely blown: he cannot manage much of anything above a modest whisper. He seems barely in tune much of the time. His lyrics are pretentious, straining hard for profundity and resonance, neither of which are ever really achieved. The floating background visuals are also distracting, utterly pointless and ultimately almost oppressive. I guess these days a simple live concert is just not possible when video "artists" and "production values" take over.

| Pure Genius
" Pure Genius" not a term I use lightly Peter Gabriel: New Blood - Live in London film. Been a fan of Mr Gabriels for thirty years and every new offering delights. The new version of "Wallflower" will melt the hardest persons heart. I saw this show live at the Molson Amitheatre in Toronto, and loved every minute. The Blue Ray is a great way to preserve some great memories. Peter, dont keep us waiting for another ten yers for the next project!
