Great Music!!!
The Crusaders sound at its best. With Larry Carlton on guitar!!! Only complaint: some of the charts are too short, leaving the listener wanting more.

The Forgotten Crusade
Of all the great Crusaders' albums, this is least memorable. Here is where they completely establish their electric sound (notice Joe Sample, one of the great piano players of all time, plays electric piano and synths on all songs!). The sonics of Larry Carlton's guitar work is beautiful work. Though Wayne Henderson(trombone) & Wilton Felder(sax) are in top form, the short- pop format of the songs make for shortened forgettable solos. Henderson would only play on one more Crusaders' album and Calton on only two more. Though there's not a bad song on "Chain Reaction", there's not really a memorable one either. "Scratch", "Those Southern Knights", "Free As The Wind", "Images" and "Rhapsody & Blues" stand as the great Crusader albums.
