Mantis album for sale Product Description
Mantis album for sale by Redgrave was released Sep 27, 2011 on the Lovitt label. The A-side is well-titled. Mantis buy CD music This Chicago duo sounds like they're preying on you, with their slow, deliberately plodding, simmering, stalking kind of stomp, with spare drum parts by Stephen Howard (Ambulette, Pinebender) that are nonetheless proto-metal mean, and a guitar from singer (publicist/booker) Angie Mead that spits, burps, and subverts the blues like the Move did on "Brontosaurus" nicking the nascent Led Zeppelin, while she bellows like a Robert Plant gone girl for good like My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden. Mantis songs On the B-side, "Gone to Wither," she's joined by six more strings of shaking terror dirge from Tim Rutili of Califone and Red Red Meat. Mantis album for sale And the art design comes from David Yow of Jesus Lizard. Not too shabby! ~ Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover.
