A well-to-do but snobbish adolescent learns about life and growing up during a cross-country trip home from boarding school with his mother's working-class boyfriend.
A light-hearted comedy about how an upper-class kid and his mom's working- class boyfriend try to get along on their very long drive home from the son's boarding school at Thanksgiving. Together, they set out on a road trip filled with mayhem, misadventure, and understanding.
Filmed on location in Georgia, Tennessee, Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California; color by DeLuxe.

This has to be one of the funniest movies that dont get credit. Ed O'Neill is the funniest!

| A Thanksgiving Tradition
It wouldn't be the holidays without John Hughes. We watch "Dutch" and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" every Thanksgiving. This movie is timeless. Clean humor. Classic Hughes themes. Even your kids will love it.

dutch is a very entertaining movie.it also has a good story line. tough love romance and it touches on other emotion as well.it realy holds your attentionas there is always something going on.

| A great film with ourstanding values...
This is probably the best film I have ever seen dealing with adult-adolescent relationships. I highly recommend it. Funny, emotional, well written, superbly acted and directed...a great film for all ages!
