To Kill a Mockingbird review Product Description

To Kill a Mockingbird movie was released Jan 31, 2012 by the Universal Studios Home Video studio. Robert Mulligan's classic adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, set in the racially charged atmosphere of Macon County, Alabama in the 1930s, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is a poignant coming-of-age story. Winner of four Academy Awards including Best Screenplay (written by Horton Foote), and Best Actor (Gregory Peck), TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is a timeless film packed with beautiful scenes and meaningful life lessons. To Kill a Mockingbird video The story is told from the vantage point of a young girl nicknamed Scout (Mary Badham) whose widowed white father Atticus Finch (Peck), an attorney, decides on principle to defend a black man (Brock Peters) charged with raping a poor white woman. To Kill a Mockingbird film But the bigoted townspeople would rather lynch the accused than try him, and they make life hellish for the lawyer, his daughter, and his son Jem (Philip Alford). To Kill a Mockingbird review While their father is in the throes of the trial, his bright, inquisitive children learn a hard and unforgettable lesson in justice, morality, and prejudice, part of which requires overcoming an unfounded fear of their mysterious neighbor Boo Radley (Robert Duvall).   ...See Full Description

No, No, No!
To Kill a Mockingbird BRAY No speeding car chases! No major gun battles! No nude scenes! All this movie has is a great story and great performances. Peck is great, sooo natural. He's not afraid to work with those amazing kids. This ranks right up there at the top of 'the list'.

To Kill a Mockingbird movie I SAW THIS MOVIE WHEN I WAS 15 AND TO THIS DAY I HAVE CHERISHED IT. THERE ARE SO MANY ELEMENTS IN THIS MOVIE THAT ARE LIFE LESSONS. THE LOSE OF A PARENT,THE BOND BETWEEN FATHER AND CHILDREN, ACCEPTING THOSE WHO ARE DIFFERENT,AND MOST OF ALL DOING THE RIGHT THING.

A lot like my childhood! Wonderful movie! Highly recommend!!
To Kill a Mockingbird video When Scot, Jem and Dill are running around playing outside and especially when they are snicking around after dark playing and doing things kids do, riding in the tire and playing under the house, that is the way my sister and I use to do when we were kids. Running around bare-footed in the summer time. Even when it is coming on and the credits are rolling Scott humming while she is coloring, my sister and I use to act the same way. Atticus is so strong and loving to his children. At the end of the movie when it said he would be in Jem's room when he woke up the next day, I felt like crying, that shows so much love for those kids. And how Scott was sitting in his lap!! When Scott took Boo back home walking with him holding his hand and the nararator saying how it felt to stand on the Railey porch, those words touch your heart.

Magnificent Film In Every Way.
For "To Kill a Mockingbird" (1962), the film version of Harper Lee's 1960 first novel about growing up in Depression Alabama, Universal studio's ad campaign was: "The Pulitzer Prize novel that became a legend in its own time is now a memorable motion picture." McCall's magazine concurred, raving, "What a sheer delight to see a movie that informs, amuses, enchants and makes you think all at the same time." Rock Hudson had discovered Lee's novel based on her childhood reminiscences, but the studio turned down Hudson at the time and only later bought the screen rights for Gregory Peck, hiring Robert Mulligan to direct and Horton Foote to write the screenplay. For novelist Lee, the casting was precisely right. "That film was a work of art," she glowed. Before beginning the film, Peck went to Alabama and met the real Atticus Finch, Lee's aged father Amasa Lee, who died during the filming. Lee herself coached Peck in handling the pocket watch he wore.

Get out and buy it....... NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To Kill a Mockingbird film this film is quite simply a classic. To Kill a Mockingbird review The acting throughout is of the highest calibur. I'm amazed at how a 9 year old and a 13 year old can act so well and remember so much. I don't really need to comment on Gregory peck as we all know he's one of the best actors ever. All the characters in this masterpiece are brilliant and none would be replaced if i had the power to. This film is one of the very few in which as the credits roll i want more, i get that tingly feeling inside. I love the part where jem, scout and dill are all sneeking up on the radly house and jem goes onto the porch to look through Boo's window. scout and dill see a large shadow coming towords jem and are petrified, so much so they can't shout or move jem sees it and they all run. Jem holds up the wire fence for scout and dill but tries to get under himself gets his bridges stuck and needs scout and dill to take them off and set him free.
