Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 album for sale Product Description

Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 album for sale by Jethro Tull was released Jan 31, 2012 on the As Is label. The legendary 1970 Isle of Wight festival is sometimes thought of as England's Woodstock. Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 CD music Alongside such strange bedfellows as Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and Tiny Tim, Jethro Tull put on a raucous, energetic stage performance captured here on NOTHING IS EASY. Even through their loudly amplified, festival-sized sound, the true Tull hallmarks are here, including Ian Anderson's haunting, minstrel-esque flute lines ("Bouree") and folky, acoustic guitar-driven compositions, which touch on weighty themes ("My God"). Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 CD music contains a single disc.   ...See Full Description

Jethro Tull's magic from 1970
Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 album for sale This CD is really fantastic. Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 CD music The sound quality is far from the perfect level, but pretty good. Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 buy CD music The listener can hear well and can be confirmed what strong Jethro Tull was in live gigs. Most of the songs are played some harder than their versions on the studio albums, but it is very interesting. The very skilled play of the musicians comes through intensively to the listener very much. With You There To Help Me, one of my all times favourites is longer than 9 minutes and became a real suit ascompared to the studio version. The song is played harder here and its chamber music-like feeling decreases a bit, but in the same time it is used well that the song itself cries for the hard, noisy approach even in the studio version (but it is fanatstically taken back in it). The middle section is superb with its classical music-like feeling. The closing piece, the medley of We Used To Know and For A Thousand Mothers is one of the highlights of the show. One can conclude that Jethro Tull played more hard rock-like in the whole gig generally but it is very cleverly mixed by them with the softer, chamber music-like side of their music. It's a magic, indeed. Highly recommended!

My GOD!
Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 songs It's basically an official bootleg. Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 album for sale My first impression is that warts and all... I like it. Bunker and Cornick come right out of the gate with white-hot fire equal to Moon and Entwistle (Ian also draws a comparison in the liner). Martin is and rusty but, his tone... well he's always had command of his guitar tone. John Evan's mix is dodgey, obviously not properly mic'ed (if at all) but hey he's there and heard. In closing, Highlights are 'My God', 'With You There to Help Me' and 'For A Thousand Mothers'. Ian's performance along with the Glenn Cornick's melodic bass runs on 'My God' is OH MY GOD! On 'Dharma For One' Ian vocalizes more and plays less flute and Clive's drum solo is not quite as good as on a similar recording found on the 'Living In The Past' LP. That said, the different angle this CD delivers make this a Jethro Tull diehard fan must have.

Very good nostalgia
Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 CD music Thanks Ian and management for this realeases. I know Ian doesn´t like nostalgia, but for us the fans is very important to access to material that have been unavailable for years. I would prefer this realeases on DVD. Thanks anyway!

Great Album
Although the sound of John Evans's piano is strange, this is a very strong and energetic album. It's not unlike the Carnegie Hall concert that was released with the 25th anniversary box set. I wish they would release the 1975 Paris set that was filmed.

Nice Piece of History from the Vaults!
Got to like this for the timeframe. Excellent sound quality with a loud performance. Fits well with the Carnegie Hall sessions.
