| Hilarious, sad, and well done movie
I always love watching the little skits in the background behind the main characters.

| Brilliant, funny and original!
Harold and Maude film I have never seen anything like this film. Its original, unique and interesting. It features one of the most unusual pairs in the movie history, and proves love has no boundaries. The director Hal Ashby and writer Colin Higgins have made a film that is original directed and scripted, and it is unusual and funny. It is now wonder why it's one of the original cult classics. Cat Stevens musical score provides the film a nice atmosphere. Along with "Being There", "Coming Home" and "The Last Detail", this is Hal Ashby's best picture.

| It's not a romance, but it's all about love!
It's been over 25 years ago that I first saw HAROLD AND MAUDE in college, and burst out of the theatre full of inspiration and a brand new zest for life. There's never been a better movie that shows us how to love ourselves and to love our own lives and to love the people whose lives we touch. I am saddened when people put this creative and enlightening movie in the category of a May-December romance. It really isn't at all. If you have trouble with it the first time through, be sure to watch it again and again and absorb more each time. On a side note, does anyone else think that actresses Vivian Pickles and Joan Plowright have similar features and acting styles?
