| Great Outlaw Country On the jacket, Charlie credits Jerry Jeff Walker, and JJ's influence is evident in this great CD of outlaw county music. By wardym12 (Youngstown, Ohio - USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Love Texas music? Get this CD Does everyone who grows up in Texas become a great storyteller or does it just seem that way? Charlie's "Desperate Times" is one of the great tunes in the Texas canon (along with "The Road Goes On Forever," "Pancho and Lefty," and "LA County." ) "Poor Man's Son," a semi-homage to the Sir Douglas sound, is a great rocker with that Farisa sound.
