Disappointment Why would Russell Allen scream instead of singing with that great voice of his, beats me...With such a talented line up, this is sure a disappointment..going for top 40 obviously here. Just nothing original, blends in with the other radio friendly junk... By mebosunot (Orlando, FL) This review is for a different format.
not bad But a little more mainstream than i expected. Think "Disturbed" when wondering what they might sound like. Those who prefer Russ Allen actually singing should check out the 3 Allen/Lande records he did with Jorn Lande. By richabyss (NY usa) This review is for a different format.
Impressive Portnoy still rules and these guys created some awesome music. I think if your a progressive music lover, this will satisfy your need. By tuccinator22 (Chicago ,IL, USA) This review is for a different format.
Mob Take Over This is an excellent cd . The musicianship is top notch . Kind of a no brainer considering the trios members . Mike Portnoy,s drumming is a long way from progressive here . Instead opting for a very aggressive more " metal " approach . Still very technical , as always he blows you away . Russell Allens vocals are spot on . Very multi-octive and powerful . Mike Orlando is a guitar wizard . Much like his work with Sonic Stomp there is a wide range of feelings and emotions here . Very heavy to more melodic . Lyrics and production are top notch . A definite 5 star release . By Dragonbinder (Middle Earth , USA) This review is for a different format.
