disk 1 is mono
The sound quality of this collection is excellent, but the first disk is in MONO, so if you want stereo versions of Sunshine Superman, Season of the Witch, or Mellow Yellow, try the remastered Greatest Hits (Sunshine Superman sounds great there in stereo).

Great but......
On the vinyl LP of Donovan's Greatest Hits, which was release in l969, I think Catch the Wind and Colours were in pseudo stereo and were different versions than the ones that are on The Essential Donovan and Donovan's Greatest Hits,(remastered in 99).

Donavan's Essential Donovan Is Teriffic!
Anyone looking for a greatest hits by Donovan, I'd certainly recomend this albumto them. It has everyone of his hits from 65-69 on it.

A good purchase.
Dollar per dollar this was money well spent. Good songs, quality recording and at a very good price. If you were around in the 60's you must ad this to your library.
