On November 22, 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour, the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago prior to playing 3 nights at the Rosemont Horizon. Muddy Waters and The Rolling Stones: Live at the Checkerboard Lounge movie Long influenced by the Chicago blues, the band paid a visit to Muddy Waters' club the Checkerboard Lounge to see the legendary bluesman perform. It didn't take long before Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage and later Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz also played their part. It was a unique occasion that was fortunately captured on camera. Now restored from the original footage and with sound mixed and mastered by Bob Clearmountain, this amazing blues night is being made available in an official release for the first time.

This November 22, 1981, concert at Chicago's Checkerboard Lounge features big names all on one stage: Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and the Rolling Stones.

Muddy and The Stones
Great video of a live session. Muddy is at his quirky best, and the Stones all treat him with reverence. Interesting to see how much Buddy Guy has changed over the years too! This is a must have for Muddy and Stones fans!

A Great Muddy Waters Show
Make no mistake. This is a MUDDY WATERS show.He is in charge all the way.The Rolling Stones are on stage and do a really good job but this is great Muddy Waters blues all the way. I would give it ten stars if I could.He had a great backing band that night without the Stones. You get a DVD and a CD.This could be the best blues show I have ever seen and I am very hard to please.If you only got the CD it would still be worth the money.
