Ringmaster General album Product Description
Ringmaster General album by Dave Stewart was released Sep 04, 2012 on the Weapons Of Mass Entertainment label. Dave Stewart is a gifted musical collaborator, but he has the ego of a major star, which means he insists on taking the spotlight whether it's a good idea or not. Ringmaster General music CDs He's also ambitious and full of ideas, which is good when he's working with someone who can use a push in the right direction, but if Stewart has no one around to give him bearings, he has a tendency to bite off more than he can chew stylistically, which is how he can go from the sublime pop perfection of his work in the Eurythmics to the ridiculousness of his ill-fated supergroup SuperHeavy. The Ringmaster General is a sequel of sorts to Stewart's 2011 solo album The Blackbird Diaries; like the earlier album, this one was written and recorded during a five-day blowout at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, with Stewart leading a crack band of studio cats and bringing in some talented acquaintances to do guest vocals (among them Alison Krauss, Jessie Baylin, and his SuperHeavy partner Joss Stone). Ringmaster General CD music contains a single disc with 11 songs. ...See Full Description

Ringmaster General music CDs After a frustrating major-label stint, Hot Hot Heat reignite some of their spark on Future Breeds, the band's first album for an indie since their breakthrough Make Up the Breakdown. While the group's undeniable pop skills made them seem like an ideal choice for the big leagues, there's always been something too contrary about Hot Hot Heat to churn out radio-friendly unit shifters. In their own studio and on a much smaller imprint, they're back where they belong, and it's apparent even on Future Breeds' least successful moments. Obituary Back from the Dead CD (1997)
Ringmaster General CD music Obituary returns after a three-year layoff from the studio just as heavy as ever, and not much different. Back from the Dead is another collection of detuned, heavy riffs backed by powerful drumming, and John Tardy's vocals still sound as if he is in immense pain. Ultimately, though, it's the riffs that matter on an Obituary record, not sweeping stylistic overhauls, and Back from the Dead delivers exactly what longtime listeners are looking for, even if other listeners might be turned off by the lack of dynamic contrasts. ~ Steve Huey
