| Nice blend of the old and the new Here's an album that brings together all the elements that made this band so popular. Though not an absolute return to nu-metal, it does have those moments of "melodious explosions" followed by artistically crafted songs with variation both in intensity and style that finally gives a sense of completeness and closure. | getting back to their basics... this one is certainly better than their last album, but still too much electronica relative to their early, pure, raw rocking first CD's. I enjoy it cuz its LP but already looking forward to their next album. Also waiting to see them live at riverbend this month!!! By mhauser (cincinnati, ohio) This review is for a different format. |
| Finally. Normally, I'd rate this album a 4, but after the complete and utter trash that was Minutes to Midnight and whatever their fourth album was called, I have to 5* Living Things just because Linkin Park finally put their lady-parts away and reversed direction: back towards their older sound. This album is by no means on par with Hybrid Theory or Meteora, but it's light years better than what they've released in recent years. Here's to hoping they stay on this new path. | Great CD I'm not of fan of rap at all, but this album employs all kind of diverse sounds, heart felt lyics, it's just a masterpiece. By coosacaptain (Alexander City) This review is for a different format. |
