We are one of the few german country bands who write their own songs and play some kind of "classic" or "vintage" country music paired with bluegrass elements.
So if you're looking for acoustic guitar, upright bass, banjo, mandolin, dobro, electric guitar, steel guitar, fiddle and drums in spirited combinations, that's exactly what you'll get.

Besides a number of Canadian bands and an English band comes a German group. Heinrich XIII and the Devilgrass Pickers have a second CD release titled "13: the devil's dozen" The history of Heinrich XIII and the Devilgrass Pickers is a story that applies to many good country bands; the men took their first musical footsteps in other musical genres such as the metal scene. But in the time around 2005 the interest in country music was turned into a band; the Devilgrass Pickers. 13: The Devil's Dozen music CDs Rhino Flashback comes up with a ten-cut comp from Rodney Crowell's earliest years with Warner Brothers when he was on fire as both a songwriter and as a recording artist. Crowell's songs have been cut by just about everybody, but his own versions still remain the definitive ones. The only unfortunate thing about this set is its hokey cover and the fact that it doesn't contain as many cuts as the now deleted Rodney Crowell Collection, which was as complete an early hits collection as you'd ever want. Nonetheless, for the price the music here is without fault. With classics such as "'Til I Gain Control Again," "Ashes by Now," "Stars on the Water," and "Heartbroke," there is plenty to listen to here for 45 minutes or so. Recommended. ~ Thom Jurek
