lesser known preist album
Sin After Sin CD music I never listened to much 70's preist, but I bought this because it was cheap. I'm glad I did. Nobody ever mentions this one with Screaming for Vengeance or British Steel, but if it's not on par with those it's pretty close. This album defined their "signature sound" that would be hear d on all of the classic 80's preist records. The dual guitar attack really shines on this one. Sinner, Call for the Preist, and Dissident Agressor are my favorites, but the album as a whole is pretty solid. If you like Judas Preist, you definitely have this one in your collection.

Mandatory JP
The boys are trying to impress the new label or something here, as they're definitely up on the spit shine. Halford's voice is a marvel here, I'm not sure it was ever any better or more wide in scope. I would have given this a 5 if they'd have ruffed up the guitars a bit, but I like this one a lot as is.

Another little heavy-metal classic.
The band is directed towards the esotericism and records another of its best albums. An excellent album.

PRIEST SETS THEIR SIGHTS ON U.S.A
CBS HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS IN STORE FOR THEM... METAL MANIACS UNITED TOGETHER FOR THIS BAND... HALFORD STILL HADNT GONE FOR THE LEATHER N STUDS IMAGE YET,HE WAS STILL LOOKING LIKE OLD DAVID BOWIE! BUT THAT VOICE,FROM THE HEAVENS, WHEN HE SCREAMED EVERYTHING SHOOK! TIPTON HIT UPON THAT PRIEST STYLE OF WRITING,K K FOLLOWED SUIT. AND SESSION ACE SIMON PHILLIPS FINALLY GAVE THEIR HEAVY MUSIC SOME MUCH NEEDED DRUMMING BALLS!KILLER CUTS:. ." CALL FOR THE PRIEST" ." DISSIDENT AGGRESSOR" ." RAW DEAL" ." HERE COME THE TEARS" ." LAST ROSE OF SUMMER"!

Creating a classic sound
Sin After Sin buy CD music .70's Priest tends to be overlooked, and the most overlooked album from that era is probably this one. There is zero filler here, and just about every 80s metal band (well, except for hair band) took notes from this album (Slayer later covered "Dissident Aggressor" in '88, and they barely changed the song at all). From the classic title track, the powerful Diamonds & Rust, the beautiful Last Rose Of Summer, and the crushingly heavy and dark Here Come The Tears (proof there's more to heavy than loud distorted guitars and bellowing vocals), Judas Priest produced one of the finest albums of their career. The only thing you could hold against it is the production, which is completely excuseable since studio technology wasn't advanced as it was in later times. A metal classic, any fan of heavy metal should own this one.
