Bible...In the Beginning VHS

 Wonderfully protrayed
My family has enjoyed this movie for several years. We had it on tape and wore it out. If you follow the story with the 1st 22 chapters of the bible it is a pretty close to the true translation, which is hard to find. Most bible movies have been edited or dramatized so much that you lose the true story as told in the bible. Even though it was made in the 60's the special effects are pretty good. George C Scott does a wonderful Abraham and so does the guy who plays Noah. If you enjoy bible movies, this is one to get.

 Very Good
I watched this movie when it first came out in Alaska in 1959. appx date, and was verry pleased.

 Awesome
This film needs to be in the collection with your other sword n sandal flicks or religious films. there are so many well known actors in this movie beginning with Michael Parks as Adam and ending with George C. Scott as Abraham. The special effects are excellent for it's day and the characters are vibrant and believable. John Huston is so clever in his portrayal of a very funny and humble Noah. A beautiful film.
