Zombi 3 DVD

Zombi 3 isn't a bad movie, but it isn't a good movie either...so I guess it's a gad movie? The only thing I liked about this disc was the commentary that had Beatrice Ring and Deran Sarafian joking throughout the movie. Other than that, this is just another zombie movie to get your collection a little bit bigger.

 Hungry for flesh.
Zombi 3 a.k.a (Zombie Flesheatrers 2)in the U.K, (Zombie 3)in Germany, (Zombie 2) in Japan. Zombi 3 is great Italian horror film but it has it flaws. First of all its not really a Lucio Fulci film because he was only able direct some of the footage but he got sick. Second its more of a Bruno Mattei and Claudio Fragrasso film. What makes Zombi 3 different from other zombie films is that you've got different types of zombies ones that walk, jump, run, some talk, and you get zombie birds. Even though this sounds like a good idea (and I like it) its too bad this movie copied off so many ideas other movies. For example you got soldiers in anti-contamination suits that comes form Romero's The Crazies, the burning of the infected body comes from Dan O'Bannon's Return of the Living Dead, and other ideas. At least you get a good plot and lots of gore. If your a Lucio Fulci fan than its best to keep looking. The zombies all look very good even though I like George A. Remeoro's slow walking zombies better.And at least there's no plot holes unlike the supposed unofficial sequel Zombie 4: After Death a.k.a just After Death which I'll review later.

 I love it....
I bought this film after I was told 60% of it was done by LUCIO FULCI before Bruno Mattei took over and completed it. With all the negative reviews of Bruno I was a bit worried as to what I was actually going to see during his scenes. I like serious zombie flicks and not stupid/comedic ones. Suprisingly (at least when it comes to this film) I felt LUCIO and BRUNO's parts were excellent. Great action, Great storyline (actually much better then ZOMBI 2/ZOMBIE which isn't that great as far as the Plot to begin with) The acting in this film is what to be expected with most GIALLO HORROR flicks. The only low point is the ZOMBIE's themselves. Unlike ZOMBI 2(ZOMBIE) which had zombies with zero personality and an amazing makeup job. This movie has Zombie's with a ton of personality. So much so that I tend to wonder if they are zombies or just regular people with deformities. The makeup job is excellent. Much better then most zombie films. But nothing compared to the original ZOMBIE. Anyway, I still find this movie to be great and my favorite parts are the ones with the guys in the anti-contamination suits (which is supposedly directed by BRUNO) Very Well done and a few extras (trailer, several interviews,photo gallery,other giallo trailers,zombie/zombi 2 "easter egg" trailer) to make it all the better.  The Incredibly mixed up movie that wasn't directed by Fulci
Okay, This movie is actually pieces directed by diffirent people and partially Fulci but they all hate it, anyways it still great to watch: A legless girl in a pool attacks her boyfriend, An unborn Baby rips through the flesh of the mother and fests upon someone's face, a maid's face is shoved into a mirror, And others are shot by biohazard suited men or kidnapped by Zombies. And then there's the ending as a radio DJ dedicates a song "To All the Undead around the World" Which sounds and is rediculas but the music is actally sweet! "We're going back to that?"--------- "We're going back to fight or Humanity's done for!"--------Zombi 3

 Not too bad
This movie is good except a few negatives in the film should have been worked out. The zombies look cheap and unispired. But the storyline is secure enough, although there are many ripoffs from other movies like Dawn of the Dead and Crazies, but all foriegn made movies are anyway.
