Screenwriter David S. Goyer, Guillermo Del Toro
In this action-packed adventure, the legendary "Daywalker" Blade (Wesley Snipes), must join forces with a high-powered team of vampires to take on a feasome threat more deadly than either has faced before. These unlikely allies must stop a race of super vampires intent on destroying everyone in their path...human or vampire.

In Guillermo del Toro's BLADE II, Wesley Snipes reprises his role as the part-human, part-vampire superhero based on the comic book character. Following a trail of blood that leads to Prague, Blade (aka the Daywalker) slays a legion of bloodsuckers in the search for his abducted mentor, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson). Soon Blade reluctantly joins forces with a band of skilled vampiric warriors called the Bloodpack to hunt down an even deadlier enemy--the monstrous Reapers, who prey on vampires and humans alike, infecting them with an incurable virus. In addition to battling these relentless new foes, Blade must deal with situations brought about by the Bloodpack's tenuous alliance --in particular, his attraction to the lovely Nyssa (Leonor Varela) and his rivalry with the brutish Reinhardt (Ron Perlman). A hyperkinetic motion picture, BLADE II literally explodes onto the screen with hi-tech weaponry and stunning special effects. The fight sequences, choreographed by Hong Kong superstar Donnie Yen (who plays Bloodpack member Snowman), are remarkably hard-hitting and elaborate. The film also improves on the entertaining original by adding a darker, more visceral tone that's fleshed out by del Toro's stylish and brilliantly grotesque visuals. Both frightening and thrilling, BLADE II is sure to astound both horror and action fans alike.

Blade II Reviews:

"....Dense on imagery, mood and plot. Happily, it exults in its lurid and gruesome absurdity....A 'B' picture in love with the zest of its comic-book origins, it embodies that medium's pulse-pounding spiritedness and silliness..." -- Elvis Mitchell, New York Times

"...Snipes gives a looser, cooler performance this time around..." -- Mike Clark, USA Today

"...There are twists and turns aplenty, zippy one-liners and enough firepower to flatten a major metropolis. BLADE II trumps its predecessor..." -- Wade Major, Box Office

"...BLADE II has superior production values and visual and special effects....Snipes again combines a formidable physical presence with a depth of feeling and capacity for reflection unusual for an incarnation of a comic book hero..." -- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times

"...Technically impressive....BLADE II is infused with maximum energy by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro..."-- David Hunter, Hollywood Reporter

"...Darker, faster....There are plenty of gruesome or startling moments..." -- Kim Newman, Sight and Sound

"...What style, what energy and what a bloody great sequel..." -- Simon Crook, Total Film

"...Snipes once again provides the proper amount of ultracool gravitas as he slices, dices, shoots and scores in the title role..." -- Joe Leydon, Variety

"...A really rather brilliant vomitorium of viscera....The movie is an improvement on BLADE, which was pretty good..." -- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

1 star THE ALIEN VAMPIRES ARE ATTACKING!!!!
Man is this the best they can come up with.Across between predator, and a vampire.I personally prefer the more mythic style vampire's like Radu off the subspecies franchise. These vampires don't even look like vampires half the time.Just some wierd predator mix.The whole idea is cheesy to me.Not the vampire that's stronger than a normal vampire thing.Just the predator mix thing. Not to mention it's a mockery to the traditional vampire I think...

4 stars Brilliant Sequel
The movie is part of a growing trend of sequels that are better than the original (X2, Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life, Terminator 3). Del Toro's personal touch is apparent throughtout the film, and the fight scenes are brutal and smart.

Based on the comic book of the same name, BLADE (Snipes) is a half-mortal, half-immortal bent on avenging his mother's death and destined to rid the earth of a race of vampires. Meanwhile, the modern-day technologically advanced vamps he's targeted are in pursuit of his special blood type needed to summon an evil god who plays a key role in their plan to execute the human race. A dark action thriller from the director of DEATH MACHINE and the writer of THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS and DARK CITY with plenty of blood and guts. DVD. Feature film. 120 min. Stereo.

The third installment in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series. In a medical facility, seven teenagers who have constant nightmares about child murderer Freddy Krueger undergo monitoring for sleep disorders. But nothing that anyone does seems to help them -- until Nancy Thompson, the heroine of the first movie, joins the medical staff. She suggests that they try a new drug, which inhibits dreaming, on the youngsters. The gullible doctor-in-charge opposes this treatment, forcing Nancy to fight both him and a suspicious nurse in order to save the teens. Meanwhile, Freddy gleefully unleashes one horror-filled image after another to traumatize the patients ... till they fear that this is one nightmare they'll never wake up from again. This unusual combination of bare knuckle fighting and lighthearted romp was also a comedic change of pace for its rugged star Clint Eastwood. Eastwood plays trucker Philo Beddoe, a revered brawler who lives in a shack with his best pal's feisty, elderly mother (Ruth Gordon) and an orangutan, Clyde, who sips beer and thumbs his nose at authority. Philo is preparing for a bout against the wishes of his mother and his new love interest (Sandra Locke). If clashing with the women in his life weren't enough, he has to deal with his cocky opponent, gamblers, and a chopper gang who constantly harrass him. Fortunately, he does have Clyde backing him up as well as his trusty companion Orville Boggs (regular Eastwood collaborator Geoffrey Lewis). This bizarre hick comedy was a surprise hit and spawned a sequel featuring many in the original cast. The country soundtrack combines the talents of Steve Dorff and Snuff Garrett and boasts a hit single by Eddie Rabbit. Beverly D'Angelo, Clint Eastwood, Geoffrey Lewis, Ruth Gordon, Sondra Locke - Director: James Fargo Philo Beddoe (Clint Eastwood) and Clyde, his orangutan roommate, take on motorcycle gangs, sneaky cops, and legendary brawler Tank Murdock in pursuit of love.

After escaping slavery on another planet, a three-toed alien (Joe Morton) crashes on Ellis Island and makes his way to Harlem. Assumed to be a homeless black man, the alien fits right into the multicultural swath of New York City, especially since he can fix both broken bones and broken machines just by touching them. Meanwhile, two men in black with unusual gaits and a fondness for DRAGNET-style dialogue prowl the streets of Harlem looking for the alien. Although director John Sayles is more known for realistic character studies, his early training in film came from writing science fiction scripts for such films as ALLIGATOR and BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS. THE BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET demonstrates his aptitude for the sci-fi genre, though the film probably has more in common with Dante's INFERNO than Steven Spielberg's E.T. or John Carpenter's STARMAN. Sayles has the alien moving up and down New York City's social stratum, exposing both the minor triumphs of the city's poorer residents and the overarching structure of corruption and oppression. Seemingly a comedy, this film is actually a dramatic essay on racism, drug abuse, and corporate greed. A black extraterrestrial crash-lands on Earth in Harlem and delivers a lesson in brotherly love. Directed by John Sayles.

This adaptation of the Grimms' fairy tale SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARVES was filmed in Germany in 1961. The story of the wicked stepmother, Snow White's escape, and her refuge with the seven dwarves is a familiar one, but this production brings to the story a grace and heartwarming charm that never spills over into saccharine sappiness. This family film is a must for anyone who loves the story of Snow White. Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Import
