In the dark days of World War II, the Nazi High Command ordered its scientists to create a top secret race of indestructibvle zombie storm troopers: unliving, unfeeling, unstoppable monstrosities that killed with their bare hands. They were known as the Death Corp. Somewhere, off the coast of Florida, they have survived. Stars Peter Cushing, Brooke Adams, John Carradine. A demented Nazi scientist creates a race of undrownable mutants. Though thought to be destroyed, years later they reappear in the form of unstoppable SS zombies. An all-star cast of acclaimed actors, including Brooke Adams (DAYS OF HEAVEN) and John Carradine (THE HOWLING), lend clout to this intelligent horror film. Shock Waves Movie Review Average Rating: (3 out of 5 stars) Horror from Down Deep Peter Cushing as the sinister recluse...John Carradine as the cantankerous sea captain...Brooke Adams as the babe in the bikini...Luke Halpin (from TV's Flipper) as the hero...creepy '70's synthesizer music...oh yeah, and underwater Nazi zombies.
One of the overall best of the low budget horrors. If you are looking for a splatter pic this ain't it. Understated violence, good story, respectable performances for the type of film. An excellent addition to the collection for fans of "B" Grade horror flicks. Submitted by Kevin (Maryland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

Whatever I cant believe these people here liked this movie. I had seen the cover for months and thought it looked like something worthwhile. I looked at these guys reviews and then went forth and purchased it.
The movie takes forever to get anywhere, no gore, little plot, just people running around (literally). The only cool part is seeing the nazis come out of the water and that is it. Seriously. Dont get it. Its a trap/ Submitted by FifefromNH (Fife from New Hampshire) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 0 of 1 found this helpful.
Cushing back for last minute horror! I've always been a Peter Cushing fan and a huge fan of this film. I first saw this movie on a late night horror show presenter by the name of Sammy Terry (Indiana based I think...very young at the time). I loved it from the start.....biased because of Cushing/Zombi/Nazi I'm sure. I've read some of the reviews about the screen format. From what I've read it seems as if the movie is actually Open Matte widescreen as opposed to Anamporphic like the DVD suggest. You'll see examples of this with H.P. Lovecrafts Bride Of Re-animator.....the bonus of that film was that you could still watch it full screen as an option. I've just ordered this movie and if I find my assumption incorrect I will edit my review. Later my horror fan brothers!
Edit begins:
Yep as I suspected it is Open Matte.....much like the Evil Dead widescreen. Several B-movies are shot full screen and when they are shown in the theater the projectors actually have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen to make it fit the widescreen. So in most cases it is actually being show like it was originally was at the time of theatrical release. One strong example of this is Warner Brothers releases, notice Excalibur. Excalibur chops off so many heads to make it widescreen its almost unbearable. Beware of Warner Bros.
At least Shock Waves was restored properly, and when I saw it in the theater it was widescreen...so its still a theatrical experience.

Shock Waves review
$17.89 Fabrizio De Angelis, the producer of Lucio Fulci's amazing ZOMBIE, tried to cash in on that film's success by financing this zombie/cannibal hybrid film that not only features ZOMBIE's lead actor, Ian McCulloch, but also some of its footage. The result is an often hilarious gore fest that is far less serious than Fulci's film, but whose sheer lunacy makes up for any of its shortcomings. The story follows Dr. Peter Chandler (McCulloch) and a reporter named Lori (Delli Colli) who discover a rash of cannibalism in New York. Soon the two have traced the cannibalistic activity to a remote island where they encounter a tribe of cannibals and a mad scientist who appears to be experimenting with reanimating dead corpses. The result of this work is four bloodthirsty zombies who roam the island and, along with the cannibals, wreak havoc on Lori and Dr. Peter's expedition.

$12.69 From the director of zombie classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD comes this chilling film about biological warfare. Made in the shadow of both Vietnam and Watergate, THE CRAZIES is a grim allegory about a government conspiracy against the public that ultimately results in genocide.
The story is set in director George Romero's home state of Pennsylvania. In the film, a government plane carrying a dangerous virus crashes near the small town of Evans City. The virus finds its way into the town's drinking water, turning everyone who is exposed to it into a murderous lunatic. Firefighter David (Will McMillan) and his pregnant wife, Judy (Lane Carroll), remain unaffected but face great danger in trying to escape the town, which has been quarantined by the US army, whose members lurk around every corner, clad in gas masks and protective suits. The President is often depicted as a detached talking head, offering no hope to citizens trapped by the mistakes of his administration.
Similar in tone and structure to his DEAD trilogy, Romero's film overcomes a visibly limited budget to create a colorful 1970s genre ...
