My arms your hearse: an Epoch
This is a beautifully arranged album... norwegian folk, progressive metal, melodic clean vocals and harsh vocals, along with beautiful heart wrenching lyrics, Opeth exhibits a quality that no other bands of its genre can match. As a lover of both classical music and [Black] Metal, I find this album to be refreshing, an album that should appeal to all musicians no matter what style they perform. It has been one of my favorites for three years.

These guys don't have a bad album.
All of Opeth's recordings are excellent but I think this one is their best. The vocals in some songs are very erie and the clean vocals are very enchanting. The music is very complex,heavy mostly but clean in spots and well produced. I have all their cd's but if you only want to get one get this one for sure!

Bow down....
My Arms, Your Hearse is in my opinion, the high point thus far in an impeccable career. (We will see what Ghost Reveries brings us... I have a feeling it will be great!) This one is the special edition, limited to 2000 and packaged in a collectors tin, embossed with the Opeth logo. The tin also contains a nice vinyl Opeth sticker. One more small note is that the CD is printed with a different picture on it than that of the original or even the reissue... nothing to die for, but something cool. Anyways, this is a must for the die hard Opeth fan, but if you're just getting into them, the regular edition will do just fine and save you some $$$... Opeth reign supreme!!!!

READ THIS!
buyer beware, is what i say. this site needs to list their merch better, as well as the notes on the cds. THIS particular "import" is the EXACT SAME as the non-import album. EXACTLY!! and the other "version" also has TWO bonus tracks...NOT JUST ONE! so buy the cheaper one instead and do yourself and you wallet (or purse) a favor. WARNING: DO YOUR HOMEWORK when browsing!
