Ambient 1: Music For Airports album for sale Product Description
Ambient 1: Music For Airports album for sale by Brian Eno was released on the Editions E.G. label. Considered by many to be the ultimate ambient album, MUSIC FOR AIRPORTS is so delicate, lovely, and aesthetically moving, that it has been known to give rise to sensations of flying, being enfolded in warm blankets, or watching a vision take place in the heavens. Ambient 1: Music For Airports CD music If this sounds like an overstatement, you haven't heard the album. A four part "piece" performed entirely on synthesizer and piano, Eno's composition finds a referent more in abstract painting (one visualizes bold blocks of color in warm hues) than in any musical genre. | RELAX This album is the pinnacle of relaxation. Eno's masterpiece of ambience is guaranteed to calm, and sooth the troubled mind. Listen to it at bedtime. Listen to it in the bathtub. Listen to it at dinner. Listen to it with your lover. This IS the MOST RELAXING RECORD EVER MADE... By raqvb (silver spring,MD) |
| easy into the world My son was born to this music. My arms were his first landing. That personal arrival aside, this is a bit of genius that seems to work on a subliminal level to mute the noise that's around you and enhance the hum that's inside you. That can't be a bad thing, can it? My son's just flown off to visit Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam... so I listened to Music For Airports again on the day he left. Good medicine. Safe journey. | Virtually Invented Genre, Never Surpassed Brian Eno was one of the true pioneers of ambient music. I have several Eno Ambient discs, but this is my favorite. I listen to tons of ambient, and nothing matches the nondualistic calm of "Music for Airports". The gold standard of the genre. By Rob (Juneau, Alaska) |
| If only airports played this when flights are delayed I have owned this album since it was first released back in 78.And it still gets played at least once a month.I allways have it my car and hence no road rage, jams seem to dissappear before I notice them. The original the best. But dont forget this is one of a set of four."Land" "SEA" "AIR" "WATER". Get the set they are all fantastic.A virtual set of Landscapes airscapes. By a reviewer (Turners Hill West sussex United Kingdom) |
| Great! Brian Eno paints varying moods with this compostion. To me it is what new age wishes it could be. By Raybob (Ashland, OR) This review is for a different format. |
