Es una grabación, en vivo, realizada en 1955. El resultado es, en consecuencia, previsible: ruidos, distorsiones, defectos técnicos de todo tipo, hacen que, por momentos, el resultado sea pésimo. Para peor, la mayoría de los problemas se acumulan en el solo de María Callas "La mamma morta", uno de los momentos cumbres de la obra.
