Adema: Mark Chavez II (vocals); Mike Ransom, Tim Fluckey (guitar); Dave DeRoo (bass); Kris Kohls (drums). Recorded at Bay 7 Studios, Valley Village, California. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. By the time Adema released its debut in 2001, nu-metal was already beginning to become a cliché -- you had the guy with the dreds, the guy with the tattoos, the bald guy. By the time Unstable came out in 2003, the backlash was even more palpable and pronounced. The band's debut was hardly groundbreaking, but you could hear that there was a chance that the guys could expand upon those initial ideas and possibly gain some originality. Sadly, all it takes is one listen to Unstable to realize that Adema was satisfied to stick to the formula. The entire disc comes off as safe as mother's milk, catering to the most banal of radio programmers whose idea of taking a risk is playing System of a Down during the daylight hours, and to the least discriminating fans. What passes for poignant heartfelt balladry, such as "Promises," which ironically complains about excuses being "all played out," seems calculated instead of sincere. When the band does kick things up a notch, on the funk-riffing "Stressin'" or lead track, "Co-Dependent," it seems more a vehicle to display rock star moves on-stage than any concrete cathartic calisthenics. With a chance to make a unique statement, Adema stays pat, and the result of the lateral move is actually several steps back. ~ Brian O'Neill Artists like Jeff Buckley and Jakob Dylan have shown musical talent can run in the family. It should come as no surprise, then, that Mark Chavez, who is the younger brother of Korn's Jonathan Davis, is as just as adept at delivering bone-crunching, angst-laden nu-metal as his older sibling. On UNSTABLE, however, Chavez's band Adema goes one step further by injecting the genre with a healthy dose of pure pop melody amongst the larynx-lacerating death metal-isms and down-tuned guitar thrashing. In addition, there are hints that someone in the band is a fan of Depeche Mode, or perhaps the keyboard-driven pop-prog of POWER WINDOWS-era Rush. In other words, Adema is no second-generation rap-rock rip off, but rather a band unafraid to build upon its stellar metal pedigree with a variety of atypical sonic detours. Great sophmore CD This is a great CD, a good follow up to their first CD. Songs just get better and better. Submitted by a reviewer (Wakefield, NE) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Unstable too Soft??? I've already heard all of the new Adema CD, Unstable and I gotta say that it has its ups and downs but it is still good to me. The good thing about the CD is that it's still dark from songs like Co-Dependent, Stresstin, Unstable, and their hardest song on the CD, Needles. But among the hard songs, there are dark and soft songs from Let Go to Promises which is sort of disappointing to me but it's ok with me. Usually having a follow up album is hard because your music can change and you want to take it to a different direction. To me, I recommended it to anyone that is an Adema fan. Not as good as the first I could listen to the first album all the way through, and enjoy every song. I found myself skipping through songs on this album, and I still can't bring myself to listen to it all the way through nonstop. As for the new Adema, it's good music...BUT...I think they should have changed the name of the band when they changed vocalists. It's just not the same sound at all. I'm not hating on the new Adema, as a matter of fact I kind of like them. They should just turn their name into a symbol like Prince did, and go as "The Band Formerly Known As Adema". Just an idea... Unstable
$17.65 Deluxe Edition
Audio Mixer: Stefan Glaumann. Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like "B********" or the opening theme song "Rammlied" and nostalgic, cabaret pieces ...

Unstable
$16.09 Personnel: Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer (vocals, guitar); Eric Singer (vocals, drums); Gene Simmons (vocals). Audio Mixer: Greg Collins . Photographers: Neil Zlozower; Dean Snowden. When SONIC BOOM was released, it had been over a decade since the last Kiss studio album, so expectations were understandably high. In addition, the intervening period had seen the band fire two of its founding members for the second time, only to replace them with sidemen wearing Ace Frehley and Peter Criss's iconic ...

| | Jeff Wade Clark Six String CD (2004)
Unstable
$9.59 Music with a heart, writing with a passion describes singer/songwriter Jeff Wade Clark's music. This small town Missouri native believes there is passion in each song that he writes and sings. Jeff says, "I'm not going to sing or write a song that doesn't touch your heart."Jeff started playing guitar at the age of 13 and by the age of 15 was playing in a country band with high school friends. They performed at every venue possible in Missouri. Jeff put his guitar in the case for several years when he enlisted in the army after high school graduation. While stationed in Germany, Jeff met fellow American, Jim Carter, and after a brief discussion about music and a band tryout Jeff joined his band, "Dallas Country Green." The band played 15 to 20 nights per month all over Germany. While in Germany, Jeff released his first album, "Out On The Town." The album was very well received, giving Jeff radio and television airplay in many European countries. It also attracted German talent buyers who booked him on the "Truckers Festivals." These two or three day events featured many performers with audiences of thousands, and Jeff stood out with his talent and being an American singing country music.Jeff gives an energetic show with a ...
