The Monkees 1st season now on DVD is a dream come true! I've been a Monkees fan since my childhood, listening to their music and watching em on Tv! Their 1st season is totally awsome! A must have for all Monkees fans out there!

i have been a big monkees fan forever! When I saw that it was available thru cd universe at a great price, i was ecstatic!! please notify me when season 2 comes out because i will continue to order, order, order!!!
the dvd is entertaining and funny and i am still in love with the young micky dolenz after ALL these years!!!

How can you not love this show? It's totally off the wall and it's influence is extremely underrated. The packaging is VERY cool. The box looks like a record player and the DVDs are the record collection--they're all in miniature LP sleeves. Yet it's all very compact. And there are great extras, most of which are listed here plus exhaustive trivia for each episode.
I give this set infinite stars out of five, three cheers for Rhino for releasing it, and three cheers for CDUniverse for the best price I've seen.

I've waited a long time for the Monkees shows to appear on DVD, and I'm so glad the wait is finally over! There were new scenes on each DVD episode that I had never seen before, possibly because networks cut them before airing on television due to time constraints. Whatever the reason, it was sure a treat to see something unexpected in these shows I thought I knew by heart!

This release is a must have for any serious Monkee fan. The packaging is groovy and the episodes and music were well ahead of their time. I can't wait for the second season to released on DVD
