The Hip Hop Psyche "Rhyme and Reason" gives the reason (motivations) behind the rhyme (rap) in a very respectful and honest way. It also provides a good basic historical overview of the movement of hip hop. Submitted by a reviewer (NY,NY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
The best doc on hip-hop ever! The culture of hip-hop is totally analyzed here. Great music, and a great message. I just saw it recently, and made me feel like I wish we could go back and live that time again. They were keeping it real with this one. Submitted by a reviewer (Atlanta, GA) Was This Review Helpful? | | Little Brother Getback CD (2007)
Rhyme & Reason movie DVD
$12.39 Little Brother: Phonte (vocals, background vocals); Pooh (vocals). Personnel: Zo! (various instruments); Stan 'The Trumpet Man' Graham, Stan Graham (trumpet); Sheldon Williams, Sheldon Williams (keyboards); Khrysis (bass guitar); Muhsinah, DJ Cosmos (programming). Additional personnel: Carlitta Durand, Dion, Lil Wayne, Darien Brockington, Jozeemo (rap vocals). Recording information: Chopp Shopp Studios, Durham, NC. Author: Pooh . On Little Brother's third studio album GETBACK, 9th Wonder backs off the boards, producing just one cut and yielding production credits to Illmind, Khrysis, Mr. Porter, Nottz, Rashid Hadee, Zo!, and Hi-Tek. The end result is still an incredibly cohesive LP that relies on elevated lyricism and true-school reverence. Phonte and Big Pooh continue to hone their already-impressive mic skills, deconstructing narratives behind brand name materialism, myths of celebrity glamour, and flimsy arguments that blame hip-hop for society's ills. Lil Wayne, Carlitta Durand, Darien Brockington, Jozeemo, and Dion make guest appearances. GETBACK is another example of innovative hip-hop from one of the underground's most talented acts. It should be an easy story to tell: vaunted rap group loses the producer who made them a quality act, then slowly sinks back into the underground, never to be heard from again. From Get Back, it's clear that Little Brother didn't mind the loss of 9th Wonder and decided to rewrite the script. Not only do Phonte and Pooh sound like nothing has changed, in ...

Rhyme & Reason DVD
$14.29 Major League baseball began creating official World Series films in 1943 to support and entertain the U.S. troops serving overseas. These films, which have since grown into dynamic documentaries, include some of the most exciting baseball moments of all time. This volume covers the St. Louis Cardinals in the series of 1964, 1967 and 1968. The famous '64 World Series had the powerhouse Cardinals (behind pitching great Bob Gibson) taking on the fading remnants of a great Yankees team, in games marked by tense pitching duels and heroic clutch hitting. In '67, the Cards faced the Red Sox, with predictable results, and in '68 they took on the Detroit Tigers ...
