Colorized; Soundtrack English; DTS Sound Foo Fighters have established themselves as a premier alternative rock band, offering a mixture of bittersweet harmonies and full-on rock anthems. Their formidable live act is second to none, and EVERYWHERE BUT HOME cements their reputation with a combination of stadium shows, festival appearances, and intimate acoustic performances. Endearing behind the scenes footage illustrates the goofy nature of the band, with singer Dave Grohl displaying all his gentlemanly charms. Tracks include "Monkey Wrench," "All My Life," "Learn To Fly," "Everlong," and more. | | From Autumn To Ashes Fiction We Live CD (2003)
Foo Fighters - Everywhere But Home DVD
$11.49 From Autumn To Ashes: Francis Mark (vocals, drums); Benjamin Perri (vocals); Brian Deneeve, Scott Gross (guitar); Mike Pilato (bass). Recorded in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada. Personnel: Francis Mark (vocals, drums); Benjamin Perri (vocals); Scott Gross, Brian Deneeve (guitar); Ben Kaplan (programming). Audio Mixer: Christopher Shaw . Recording information: Greenhouse Studios, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; Plumper Mountain Sound, Gibsons, British Columbia, Cana. Drummer/singer Francis Mark has been quoted as saying that From Autumn to Ashes is almost like "a band with an identity crisis." His point was that F.A.T.A. thrives on contrasts -- clean alternative pop/rock melodies are contrasted with the sort of screaming, tortured vocals associated with metalcore. Actually, F.A.T.A. does have an identity and it's an appealing one, even though The Fiction We Live (the Long Islanders' second full-length album) isn't quite as consistent as it could have been -- some of the performances are more successful than others. But when the band does hit its mark, F.A.T.A. has much to offer. F.A.T.A.'s basic concept -- melody and lushness meets brutality -- is a good, intriguing idea and it has the necessary equipment to pull it off. Mark provides the melodic, accessible, more conventional vocals, while Benjamin Perri provides the metalcore-like screaming. ...
