In this R-rated version of the Sundance Best Director's Award winning film, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock unravels the American obesity epidemic by interviewing experts nationwide and by subjecting himself to a McDonald's only diet for thirty days straight. The film is as entertaining as it is horrifying - diving into corporate responsibility, nutritional education, school lunch programs, and how we, as a nation, are eating ourselves to death. In this hilarious yet informative documentary, debut director Morgan Spurlock makes himself the victim of a cruel experiment: he puts himself on a 30-day diet of nothing but McDonald's food. Eating three meals a day exclusively from McDonald's, Spurlock's health quickly deteriorates. The film documents the process from beginning to end, with Spurlock and his doctors making observations and monitoring the changes to his energy level, moods, liver and kidney function, and obviously his weight. As viewers might predict, Spurlock gains weight at an alarming rate, and during this process he offers a shocking lesson about the serious problem of obesity in America. Clearly McDonald's receives the brunt of the blame, as Spurlock shows how the fast-food restaurant directs its advertising at small children, who are converted into faithful consumers of the brand--and its free toy giveaways, bright colors, and Ronald McDonald clown--for life. Spurlock also examines the quality of the food itself, showing the processes by which favorite products like McNuggets are made. He also shows the proliferation of McDonald's chains both in the U.S. and worldwide. Meanwhile, Spurlock's girlfriend--a vegan chef--observes Spurlock's experiment with disgust and disdain, providing one of many comic elements to the film. Educational, fun, and at times downright gross, SUPER SIZE ME takes a different approach to illustrating America's obsession with fast food. Theatrical Release Date: May 7, 2004

Attention-grabbing look at American diet Let's face it. America is a country full of fat people. I should know, I used to be one of them.
Watch this film, then become inspired to change your eating habits, exercise more often and feel better about yourself.
A highly entertaining film that at times is full of tension and emotion. Submitted by Dave McGurgan (Wilmington, DE USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
This movie changed my life!!! When I saw the movie Super Size Me,
my mind was totally changed about the way I look at fast food joints like Mcdonald's. I will never ask my mom or dad to go out for lunch there ever again! If the whole world saw this movie, the fast food buisnesses would definetly go out of buissness. Who needs that crapy stuff you call food??
It would be much healthier to make yourself a ham sandwhich at home for less money and fat. I don't want to risk my life eating a fast food burger. Submitted by emskow (Cloumbia, SC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

$11.35 Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hits the stage with hilarious new pals Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Super hero, as well as old favorites Peanut, Walter, and Jose Jalapeno, in this sidesplitting performance at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater.
More than just a stand-up comic, Jeff Dunham is a one-man comedy troupe--a ring-leader in a circus of snark. The veteran ventriloquist may be the only one with vocal chords, but he’s often the least vocal, playing straight man to a steam trunk of personalities: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, a goofball skeleton still fighting the infidels; Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper on a stick; Bubba J, NASCAR’s biggest fan; and Walter, a dirty old man who speaks his mind. Together with his hilarious and irreverent puppets, Dunham riffs on everything from politics to family life, and slays the audience with his quick-witted banter. SPARK OF INSANITY features one of Dunham’s funniest performances, recorded live at Washington ...
