Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Ian Holm, and Milla Jovovich star in this 2-disc set. Included are over 2 hours of exclusive bonus features including 6 featurettes, camera tests, and more! This film is rated PG-13. A visual feast combining ancient mysticism, cyberpunk sensibilities, flamboyant entertainment personalities, and gun-toting alien mercenaries. In the 23rd century, Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), an ex-special forces agent who now practices as a down-and-out cabbie, finds himself caught in a struggle to defy a prophesied Evil from destroying the Earth when a mysterious woman (Milla Jovovich) falls into the back seat of his cab. Pursued by both the government and a powerful magnate enlisted by the forces of Evil (Gary Oldman), the woman is the key to Earth's salvation, known only as the Fifth Element. This was French auteur Besson's first offering with Hollywood backing. Academy Award Nomination: Best Sound Effects Editing. Fifth Element Reviews: "...Besson's comic irreverence is welcome..."
-- Kim Newman, Sight and Sound "...Mr. Besson directs with ceaseless flamboyance and with an obvious enthusiasm for his film's comic book conceits..."
-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...Luc Besson's kick-ass sci-fi jamboree works as hard as any movie can to ensure that we're completely, maximally entertained..."-- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly "There's no doubt about it, when it comes to saving the world, Bruce Willis is your man. He does it with smarts and style, humor and courage..."
-- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times "...Besson's future world is stuffed silly with visual pizzazz..."-- Jonathan Crocker, Total Film "Bruce Willis' taciturn hero and Milla Jovovich's super-femme still hold firm at the heart."

Fifth Element Movie Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) amaizing, funy and spectacular the best movie of sci from star wars Submitted by blade_tusk (seaside, ca. usa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Way out Sci-Fi except for... Chris Tucker's character. Thats the worst I have ever seen. And a little too dirty.
The rest is great. I loved Mila and became a fan from the moment I watched her in this. She nailed this way out character perfectly. Willis was not foul mouthed and was fun to watch in this.
Also watch the DVD extras before you see the film to learn about the woman who plays the Alien opera star.

Highly Recommended PQ and Sound tour de force! I guess you either hate this film or love it. Me, I love this one. A fast paced, intelligent sci-fi action thrill ride through the galaxy 300 years in the future. Good vs. Evil and it all comes to a head on planet Earth. The characters are vibrant and engaging as is the story line. Now, I can not impress upon you how stunning the PQ is on this Blu-ray disk. True reference PQ. You will not find better than this. Same for the explosive and dynamic sound that will rock your speakers. This is a real treat for the senses and a lot of fun. You have to see and hear it for your self to believe this. It's a favorite movie -- way out there 'though! It's the wildest futuristic movie ever made. Crazy monsters, goofy looking costumes, but a mixture of a GOD theory and a beautiful singer (DIVA) who actually integrates Opera (Lucia de lamemore) with jazz and has a gorgeous voice. Wonderful love story too -- a great movie. Submitted by ampicob (San Francisco, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

$8.99 Personnel includes: Raekwon, 62nd Assassin Of Sunz Of Man, Lucky Hands a/k/a Golden Arms, Cappachino, Noodles a/k/a Master Killa (rap vocals); Blue Raspberry (vocals). Personnel: Raekwon (vocals); Masta Killa, Nas (vocals). Audio Mixers: Fourth Disciple; RZA. Photographer: Daniel Hastings. Arranger: RZA. A serious contender for the title of best Wu-Tang solo album (rivaled only by the Genius' Liquid Swords), Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is also perhaps the most influential, thanks to Raekwon's cinematic imagination. If the Genius is the Wu's best overall lyricist, Raekwon is arguably their best storyteller, and here he translates the epic themes and narratives of a Mafia movie into a startlingly accomplished hip-hop album. Raekwon wasn't the first to make the connection between gangsta rap and the Cosa Nostra (Kool G Rap pioneered that idea), but he was the one who popularized the trend. Cuban Linx's portraits of big-money drug deals and black underworld kingpins living in luxury had an enormous influence on the new New York hardcore scene, especially Mobb Deep and Nas, the latter of whom appears here on the much-revered duet "Verbal Intercourse." The fellow ...

$7.65 Barry Sonnenfeld is reunited with his MEN IN BLACK star Will Smith in this gadget-soaked romp based (loosely) on the 1960s television show. WILD WILD WEST supplies many impressive visuals (thanks to brilliant production designer Bo Welch) and some hearty laughs. Will Smith is James West, a Civil War hero and U.S. marshal inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. His partner is the wacky inventor and pseudointellectual Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline). The team is created when the world's leading scientists are kidnapped by a diabolical madman named Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), and President Ulysses S. Grant (also played by Kevin Kline) wants his two best men on the job. Loveless's machines have the creepy fun feeling of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (Welch again)--many of them ...

$6.55 Director Steve Oedekerk (ACE VENTURA: WHEN NATURE CALLS) wrote, produced, and stars in this goofy spoof of martial arts movies, which he created by re-dubbing and digitally inserting himself into a 1976 Kung Fu film called TIGER AND CRANE FIST. Oedekerk plays The Chosen One (so named because of his magic tongue) who grows up in the wild after his family is murdered by the evil Master Pain--who later changes his name to Betty. Hunted and attacked continuously, ...

$31.25 Francesco Rosi's neo-realist drama probes the mystery surrounding one of Italy's most beloved criminals. On July 5, 1950, in Castelvetrano, Sicily, the body of Salvatore Giuliano was found, punctured with bullet holes. Painting a thorough portrait of the legendary bandit, Rosi's film also explores the dangerously complex Sicilian world in which politcs and crime go hand-in-hand.

$10.95 James Marsden stars as Tommy, an ex-Marine who gets roped into going undercover in the old neighborhood in this film from CRASH co-writer Robert Moresko. Giovanni Ribisi plays his cousin Joey, the slightly unhinged boss of the local crime family--they've been friends since they were kids. Brad Renfro is Vincent, Tommy's dim-witted younger brother and Joey's right-hand man after Tommy left to join the Marines. There are lots of violent flashbacks to when all these guys brawled around the old neighborhood and went to mob funerals. Now there's a villainous Italian drug lord trying to seize control and a turf war is imminent. It's up to Tommy to take the drug lord down without getting his little brother killed or Joey indicted in the process. Piper Perabo (COYOTE UGLY) is Tommy's love interest, an attractive mob widow now tending bar at a strip club co-owned by the coke-snorting thug who killed her husband (Dash Mihok). Episodic and entertaining, 10th AND WOLF ...
