5 stars Totally awesome!
The Ska is all gone in FIF2's new sound. But still they are probably the best group you can find on the rock-stage. The CD consists of 12 excellent songs. It is hard to say which my favourite is, because they are all SO good. BUY IT NOW!!!

Anything, the U.S. version of Martina Topley-Bird's heavenly Quixotic debut album, arrived as something of a mixed blessing as the original U.K. pressing was utterly redesigned and resequenced, to emerge an almost completely different listening experience. The bad news first: no less than three songs have been dropped from Quixotic -- "Lying," "I Wanna Be There," and, oddly, the Tricky production, "Stevie's." The original dynamic, too, has been shattered as the original album's opening "Intro" becomes the closing "Outro," and the remaining songs are shuffled away from any resemblance to their past appearance. The good news, however, is that all this messing around works, and works well. Without ever accusing Quixotic of going on too long, trimming its length does add a new tightness to the proceedings, and the rearranged track listing (opening with "Anything," winding down with "Lullaby") has its own internal sense as well. Of course, if you really care for Topley-Bird, you're going to want the full-length U.K. album. But if you just want a great album, Anything will not disappoint. ~ Dave Thompson
Best known for her guest appearances on Tricky's first three solo albums, Martina Topley-Bird owes much to the trip-hop movement, yet is not defined by it. Although this bold and dynamic acoustic guitar giant's stock in trade is the hybrid of rhumba flamenco, he's electrified smooth jazz audiences everywhere with one of the best live shows in any instrumental based genre. What could be more exciting than a whole hour of his trademark hits and other exotic classics performed in front of an audience in his native Canada? Recorded at the Metropolis Theater during Le Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, the 14 songs offer a smart mix of the lively clapalongs that have become his best-loved works ("Rattle and Burn," "Mario Takes a Walk") and more involved, intricate and dramatic Middle Eastern-tinged works from his later recordings. While "Closer to Madness" takes a few minutes to build, it offers a more introspective side of Cook's multifaceted work as we wait for the tune to explode. Likewise "Baghdad," whose brief solo passages in between the fun stuff show off his technical prowess and solo capabilities. While most live CDs simply include audience applause between cuts, most of these tracks have the audience participating via clapping, sometimes in ecstatic rhythm with the tune ("Luna Llena").
