Having quickly made a name for themselves on the Canadian club circuit, Coney Hatch signed with fledgling Anthem Records in early 1981 and proceeded to record their freshman effort with no other than legendary singer/songwriter (and label boss) Kim Mitchell acting as producer. Unique, classic in every way
This album has been on and off my turntable more than any other. It just doesn't get any cooler and more inspired for rock of the early 80's. Perfectly crafted tunes, stellar tone and inspired performances. If you like melodies with balls and hooks, snag this one asap. Otherwise, you might die tommorrow and never hear the tasty tones from this one. How could you call your life complete?

KILLER GROOVES
IF YOUR INTO THE HARD ROCK OF ALDO NOVA OR EARLY BON-JOVI THEN YOU ARE SURE TO LIKE CONEY HATCH. THE WHOLE ALBUM ROCKS BUT THE THREE BEST TRACKS ARE HEY OPERATOR, MONKEY BARS AND DEVILS DECK.

Coney Hatch...who knew?!
Too cool album art! One of a handful of bands I had the priviledge of discovering in '81 while stationed in Germany. My favorite song is Monkey Bars because of the bass players unique voice and style. Stand up too. Every song is great! A must have album, DOH!, cd :)
