5 stars Wings of Desire touches someplace deep
This movie always takes me to a deeply familiar place in regards to a spiritual knowing. The images and quiet moments are compelling and not easily forgotten. This has long been one of my favorite movies.

4 stars You'll never get tired of it.
'Wings of Desire' is one of those films that will reveal something new each time you see it. Pretentious? At times, yes, but the film overcomes that by giving the viewer much to think about. Also, Solveig Dommartin is so beautiful in this film; it was heartbreaking to learn of her death in early 2007.

5 stars Poetry in motion
The first glimpse of the movie leaves you with disappointment, "Black & White?" you asked yourself. But in five minutes this disappointment vanishes and the story takes you on a tour through thoughts and emotions. The angles all around in Berlin, this wonderfull lovestory that wonders around the story. The music that gives this movie that strange atmosphere. A joyfull experience of Wim Wenders I must say. If you have seen this movie you wonder how on earth they could make 'City of Angles' as a remake of this masterpiece

In this musical comedy starring the charismatic Fausto Mata, his attempts at getting foreign woman to fall in love with him in order to procure a visa to the United States have hilarious results. A huge hit in both the Dominican Republic and the Dominican communities abroad, SANKY PANKY is a humorous look at the little-known phenomena of seducing travelers for personal gain. Popular Dominican music, such as Big Family and Aventura, accompany many of Mata's ridiculous exploits in his quest for a little "Sanky Panky." This DVD/CD set includes the film directed by Jose 'Pinky' Pintor featuring stellar performance by Dominican comedians-extraordinaire Fausto Mata, Tony Pascual, and Aquiles Correa. A Sanky Panky is a gigolo who hangs out at vacation spots with the sole purpose of of hooking up with a wealthy 'gringa.' Usually the tall, dark, and handsome type, the main character is Genaro, a short, scrawny guy with protruding teeth. There is a serious tinge beneath the laughter - this is the story of a person who sees no light at the end of the tunnel, and has concocted an extreme plan to escape. Michael Haneke's TIME OF THE WOLF is an emotionally riveting film that takes place in post-apocalyptic rural France. Depressing and frightening, yet totally compelling, TIME OF THE WOLF is a myth with epic feeling.
